2022 Shean Piano Competition Winner Jaeden Izik-Dzurko.

Prize winner in the 2023 Concour Prix Ravel in Fontainebleau, Hong Kong-born Canadian pianist Dane Ko is active as recitalist, chamber musician, and educator on international stages. Among his growing accolades, Mr. Ko was recognized in the 2022 Glenn Gould School Chamber Music Competition, the 2019 “Stepping Stone” of the Canadian Music Competition, and the 2021 Ricard Viñes International Piano Competition in Spain.

Mr. Ko regularly takes part in prestigious festivals which include ISA – International Summer Academy of the mdw, MusicAlp. Rebecca Penneys Piano Festival, and Fontainebleau during which he was awarded second prize in Fondation Maurice Ravel’s Prix Ravel and the Prix Langage Musique.

Mr. Ko holds a Bachelor and Master of Music from the University of Toronto and an Artist Diploma from The Glenn Gould School of The Royal Conservatory of Music supported by full scholarships. Mr. Ko is currently pursuing the Doctor of Music degree at McGill University Schulich School of Music as a recipient of the Max Stern Fellowship.

Mr. Ko is indebted to his teachers which include Marietta Orlov, Lydia Wong, and Ilya Poletaev, as well as master class studies with Robert Levin, Klaus Hellwig, Ronan O’Hora, John Perry, Benedetto Lupo, Eric Le Sage, and others.
