Roswell Reyes

Roswell Reyes is a third-year Bachelor of Music student at the University of Calgary, studying piano performance under Dr. Lana Henchell. He is also involved in the Mount Royal Conservatory Academy as part of the Advanced Performance Program. At age 7, Mr. Reyes first started classical piano and guitar studies at the United Conservatory of Music after moving to Canada from Singapore, and later at Mount Royal Conservatory of Music prior to post-secondary. His past teachers include Michelle Li and Akiko Tominaga.
Mr. Reyes has been awarded national and provincial gold medal awards from the Royal Conservatory of Music for previous piano and guitar exams. He was involved with the Honens 88 Keys and 176 Keys Festivals which centered around public outreach and community performances. Mr. Reyes won first prize in the V International Gloria Arts Competition and performed a joint recital at the Kleiner Ehrbar Saal, both in Vienna, Austria. Mr. Reyes is set to perform with the Lethbridge Symphony Orchestra in their 2025 season as a winner of the Lethbridge Young Artist Competition in 2024. Mr. Reyes has been involved in master class opportunities and has worked with artists/teachers such as Roman Rabinovich, Gerlinde Otto, Roberto Plano, Jon Kimura Parker, and Nicholas Namoradze.
