Gregoire Abadie

A semi-finalist and recipient of the Best Québécoise Performance Award at the Concours International de Piano de Sorel-Tracy, Grégoire Abadie began his piano studies at the age of six with Marie-Andrée Ostiguy, continuing until he was 15 when he was admitted to Suzanne Goyette’s class at the Conservatoire de Musique de Montreal.
Since 2022, he has been studying with renowned pianist and pedagogue Richard Raymond.
Mr. Adabdie has also distinguished himself in several other provincial and national competitions; among others, in 2024, he won the iA Financial Group and the Ville de Quebec au Concours de Musique de La Capitale, as well as the Violons du Roy Prize and first prize at the Festival Sinfonia, which allowed him to perform Franz Liszt’s Second Piano Concerto with the Sinfonia de Lanaudière. In 2023, he won second prize at the CFMTA Competition, held in Edmonton.
He is also interested in musical composition, which has allowed him to win several awards in this discipline, including at the Festival de Musique Classique de Montréal.
